Overview
Gloe ("we", "us", "our") operates the Gloe mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By creating an account or using Gloe, you agree to this policy.
Gloe is a social app that lets you discover people, post to a feed, join chatrooms, send directed messages (including anonymous messages with a chosen mask), share voice notes and images, and optionally use video match features.
Information we collect
- Account and profile: email, password (via auth provider), name, phone, gender (optional), date of birth, photos, biography, masked alias/avatar, privacy settings, block list.
- Content: messages, voice notes, images, posts, comments, chatroom messages, and metadata.
- Usage: sign-in timestamps, online/presence when enabled, interaction data needed to operate the service.
How we use information
We use your information to create and secure your account, deliver messages and posts, enforce privacy rules, show discovery results, prevent abuse, process reports, and improve reliability. We do not sell your personal information.
Service providers
We use Google Firebase (authentication, database, push notifications) and Supabase (media storage). Data is encrypted in transit (TLS).
Your choices
- Privacy settings for profile visibility, anonymous messages, last seen, read receipts, and search.
- Block and report tools in-app.
- Delete content and account via Settings → Delete account, or email marcon555777@gmail.com.
Children
Gloe is not intended for children under 12. Accounts below the minimum age are not permitted. Contact marcon555777@gmail.com if you believe a child under 12 has registered. See our Child safety standards.
