Child safety standards
Gloe is a social app for discovery, chat, and optional video match. We maintain zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, and sexualization of minors. These standards apply to every feature: public profiles, anonymous masks, chatrooms, directed messages, voice notes, images, discovery posts, and video match.
Age requirements
- Users must be at least 12 years old to create an account. Date of birth is required at registration; accounts below the minimum age are not permitted.
- Some features (including stranger video match) may require a higher minimum age or be restricted by region when enabled.
- If you believe a child under 12 has registered, contact us immediately (see Contact below).
Prohibited conduct involving minors
The following are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate account termination and referral to law enforcement where required:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any sexual content involving minors.
- Grooming, sexualization of minors, or attempts to obtain sexual content from minors.
- Soliciting personal contact information from minors or arranging offline meetings with minors.
- Using anonymous or masked identity to target, exploit, or evade enforcement against minors.
- Displaying minors in sexual contexts on video match or in uploaded media.
How users can report
Anyone can report unsafe behavior directly in the Gloe app:
- Posts and comments — use Report on the content.
- Messages — long-press a message or open the chat menu (⋮) and choose Report.
- Profiles — open the safety menu on a profile and choose Report.
- Video match — end the call and use the in-call safety / report option.
- Block — Settings → Privacy, or Block from chat/profile menus, to stop further contact.
For urgent issues involving minors, email marcon555777@gmail.com with as much detail as possible (usernames, timestamps, screenshots if available).
How Gloe responds
- Reports are reviewed by our moderation process. We may remove content, issue strikes, suspend features, or permanently ban accounts.
- Accounts that repeatedly violate standards or attempt to evade bans may lose access to all Gloe services.
- We preserve relevant information as needed to investigate reports and comply with legal obligations.
- When we become aware of CSAM or credible threats to child safety, we treat the matter as highest priority and may report to appropriate authorities and child-safety organizations as required by law.
Prevention and product design
- Age gate at registration (date of birth required).
- Privacy controls so users can limit who can message them or find them in search.
- Block and report tools available across chats, profiles, posts, and video match.
- Enforcement actions including strikes, suspension, and permanent bans for serious violations.
